The Firm
GJK ASHVA Juris LLP is a full-service law firm practising across taxation — direct and indirect — corporate and commercial law, PMLA and Benami, insolvency, and arbitration, with a distinguishing strength in environmental law.
The firm appears before the Supreme Court of India, the High Courts, and a wide range of tribunals and appellate authorities, including the National Company Law Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal, the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal, the National Green Tribunal, the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, and other tribunals and appellate authorities.

The Alliance
The firm was formed by the coming together of two established professional streams. Two teams have joined hands to deliver deeper, better-integrated services.
The first is ASHVA Legal Advisors LLP, founded in 2017 by Dr. Avinash Poddar and Ms. Anchal Poddar, Advocates. It has grown from a three-member office in Surat to a national presence, with offices and associates across the country and a practice rooted in litigation depth.
The second is the multidisciplinary practice of the GJK group, in taxation, regulatory compliance, environmental representation, and technology-enabled service delivery.
What the two bring together is complementary: litigation depth, regulatory breadth, and a technology backbone — one current, made of two streams.
The Ashva Story
“Ashva — the Sanskrit word for horse — carries the qualities the firm practises by: momentum, discipline, and endurance. The logo’s interlocking circles are two streams becoming one current, and the horse is the strength and steadiness with which that current moves.”
The name is a statement of intent. Justice asks for both speed and steadiness; the Ashva is the figure in which the two meet.
